Mr. Double Helix

We’re fortunate here at 23andMe to get some interesting visitors, but last week was especially exciting for us when James Watson — yes that Watson — dropped in to say “Hi.”

Co-discoverer of the double helix structure of DNA, Watson came to learn a little bit more about 23andMe’s future plans, our research and he gave his own sample to be tested. Watson also spoke to us about his book “Father and Son,” a story about his family history and genealogy, and he spent some time chatting with our CEO Anne Wojcicki.

In an office that is loaded with geneticists, bioinformatics specialists and science geeks, Watson’s visit caused a bit of a stir. Here are a few pictures from his visit.
